People are just using social media now days to do all their networking. I feel the card is a small but very valuable gesture in creating relationships that stick.

My mom has always been a big, handwritten letters proponent, and my daughter and I picked it up again to write mom regularly because she loves it so much.

It’s so much more important as she has aged and become more frail, and letter-writing has now morphed into little love notes in her room now here with us.

Personally, I definitely notice my stress level drop when I sit down to write. Also having to really think about someone and how to express what I want to say gives such a great way to slow down and pay attention to a relationship and experiences I am thankful for.

Thank you for writing this post.

I do like receiving them too. Why I look forward to sending them out or giving them to someone special for me is I create them myself. I love creating by drawing and painting or doodling on them. I find little bit of drawing painting or doodling is just right, to much is, well, to much.
In our world today it is hard to get Thank You much less a card of thanks., and that is very sad. So here is my last Thank You for the end of this year 2017. Thank you for sharing this good article you wrote about the almost lost art of a simple Thank you. This two powerful words Thank you that will make someone’s Day a better one even enough to cause a smile. Now that would be something unheard of.

It has continued into my adulthood and I’m sharing that with my kids too. We all love doing art, so I make it fun to send either an original or a color copy pasted onto card stock.
I love receiving notes too!
I liked reading the scientific facts you wrote!

I haven’t stopped writing thank you notes. I’ve written hand written ones for large fundraisers too… 50 donations is great… until you get to the thank you notes lol!!

Handwritten notes are great for personal relationships, but out of touch for business.

Doesn’t matter if it is a store bought item or a home made item – this is the perfect gift / thank you. Write one and help your children and family to write one! Best ever thing!

They liked taking the pictures and it seemed to make it go faster. We also didn’t let them use the present until the thank you was written. It never seemed hard. They understood it was what was right.
